A wooden board is not something you own so much as something you keep. Two minutes after every meal, a little oil once a month, and it will outlast most things in your kitchen. This is everything we know.

Right after use, rinse both sides under warm running water. Don't let food dry onto the surface — the sooner you rinse, the easier the clean.

Pat dry with a clean towel, then stand your board upright on its edge. This lets both faces air dry evenly — preventing warping, cracking, and mold growth.
Never lay your board flat while wet, and never put it in the dishwasher. These are the two most common ways boards warp and split. Wood needs moisture just like skin. Once a month — or any time the board looks dry or dull — apply a generous coat of food-grade mineral oil or beeswax board cream. Pour onto the surface, spread evenly with a soft cloth, and let it absorb for at least 20 minutes. Wipe off any excess. For deep conditioning, leave overnight.
Use: food-grade mineral oil, beeswax + oil board cream, or pure coconut oil. Avoid: olive oil, vegetable oil, or any cooking oil — these go rancid inside the wood.Usar: aceite mineral de grado alimenticio, crema de cera de abejas + aceite, o aceite de coco puro.
